Kriti is a software development contest. Students who have developed complete software projects etc. can enter their work in this contest. They are required to give a presentation of their software to a panel of judges, after which the finalists will be chosen. The finalists will again present their work on the final day in a presentation to another panel of judges . The winners will be chosen according to the quality of software, presentation etc. Original software designed and developed by the students without any professional help are invited.
1st Prize - Rs. 5,000/- 2nd Prize - Rs. 3,000/-
The numbers of members per entry is restricted to 3. Entries for KRITI should consist of an EXE file along with source code on standard 1.44MB, or 1.2MB floppies which shall be returned. These should be accompanied by 2 copies of a report. The floppies should clearly mention the name of the participants and the institute. All entries should reach us by 5th , March 1998. If the software is incomplete by 5th , March 1998 the documentation alone may be sent. If selected the software may be sent later. Participants will have to make the presentation on the stage and demonstrate the software. Minimum system requirements and details of requirements for presentation should be sent along with the report. Participants are provided with free lodging, boarding and mess facilities. One way II class rail fare will be reimbursed to participants on production of tickets. The source code or snapshots (printouts) of the Graphical User Interface (GUI) will have to be provided along with every entry. The source code will have to be provided for verification purposes during the competition. A bonafide certificate by the head of the department should accompany the entry. The format should be :
